TennisRank ("we", "us", or "our") operates the TennisRank website and mobile app. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What We Collect
The TennisRank app only reads data when you explicitly start a sync. It does not collect anything automatically or in the background. When you initiate a sync, it reads the following from your league:
- Match results, scores, and court assignments from league scorecards
- Player names and team rosters associated with those matches
- Player rating information available on league standings pages
The sync screen uses an embedded browser that may store cookies from USTA's TennisLink service to maintain your login session. These cookies are not read or transmitted by TennisRank — they exist solely to keep you logged in during a sync.
The app does not collect passwords, payment information, browsing history, or any personally identifiable information beyond player names that appear in league records.
How We Use It
Data collected by the app is sent to TennisRank servers at tennisrank.app and used solely to:
- Build and display match history and statistics on player, team, and flight profile pages
- Calculate dynamic ratings based on match results
- Power the search and scouting features on tennisrank.app
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Analytics
We collect standard server logs (page views, API request counts) to monitor app health and performance. This data is not linked to individual users and is not shared with third parties.
Data Storage
Match data is stored on secured servers. We retain data as long as it is useful for providing the service.
Your Choices
The app only syncs data when you explicitly initiate a sync. It does not run automatically or in the background without your action. You can uninstall the app at any time.
